As the end of the year approaches, and the seniors begin to leave, reality kicks in, and the juniors begin to realize that they too will soon be seniors.

“I can’t believe I’ve almost survived four years in this school,” says Oreoluwa Fabiyi, a junior at Overlea. “It almost feels unreal.”

Many of the juniors are already working hard in preparation for their senior year.

“I’ve already started a few of my summer assignments, and I’m starting to pick my colleges,” said Amore Reese (’18). “Senior years going to be challenging, but that’s why I’m preparing for it now… I’m pretty excited.”

Although some students are nervous for the stress assosiated with being a senior, they are ready none the less.

“I mean it’s going to be a lot of work, and it’s going to be kind of stressful being a senior,” says Franklin Vigil, another junior at Overlea. “But I’m ready to be a senior, and get out of here.”

The class of 2017 has just finished their rigorous High School experience, and as the school year comes to an end the class of 2018 moves in ready to begin their final year.
